Vail Colorado Child Care and Ski Lessons
It’s important to know where your family is staying so that you can pick a location for lessons. It’s also helpful to know the address of the lesson you booked so that you can park your car and get off the bus. Both adult and child group lessons are typically held out of Lionshead, Golden Peak. Private lessons are available for any age at Vail Village or Lionshead. Vail Ski Resort offers half-day and full-day small group workshops that are suitable for 4 or fewer skiers. Private lessons are also available for families.
If you are traveling through private car service from Denver to Vail Ski Resort, your chauffeur will guide you through all questions while driving.
To save money, book lessons at least 48 hours before the lesson. Children’s lessons include lunch. Some lessons include lift tickets, while others do not. Lift tickets are always required in order to use a lift. If you require a separate lift ticket, make sure you find out ahead of time. If you do not have Vail lift tickets in advance, you can book a lift ticket to get a discount.
If you require a helmet or equipment rental, you can add it on. Ski instruction is mandatory for children 12 years and younger. Helmet rentals can be rented at the ski school, or you can rent one from them. Multi-day lessons packages can be very affordable. Vail is so huge that we recommend eating lunch at a nearby restaurant. It’s not fun to ski half the mountain to meet someone in a village for lunch. You can eat at a lodge mid-mountain if you’re skiing in the middle of the mountain. You can then have dinner in one of the villages. There are many restaurants, from super-upscale to casual. You can find all types of food, from the fancy to the most popular with children.
You can dine outdoors at Bistro Fourteen, located at Adventure Ridge, at the top Eagle Bahn Gondola. Enjoy winter fun while you eat. We love that children 12 years and younger can enjoy a three-course meal at $10. There are $3 beers available during apres and live music on weekends. You can visit the gondola free of charge if you don’t have a lift ticket for skiing that day.
Game Creek Restaurant in Game Creek Bowl offers fine dining and wine. Reservations are required. If you’re looking for a more traditional meal, the Vail Chophouse can be found down in Lionshead Village. It is open for lunch, dinner, and apres-ski.
